As part of the Level II Master’s Program in “Sustainable Development and Climate Change” at the University of Pisa, Professor Cinelli will deliver a lecture titled “Legal Aspects Related to Climate Change Issues.”
The lecture will examine the main international legal instruments concerning environmental protection and the fight against climate change, focusing on multilateral agreements, sector-specific regulations, and emerging legal challenges. Particular attention will be given to the role of space activities in climate governance, addressing the regulation of Earth observation, the use of satellite data for environmental monitoring, and the legal implications of space technologies in the context of mitigation and adaptation policies.

Professor Claudia Cinelli will hold a lecture at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli as part of the course Cybertechnology and Armed Conflicts, taught by Prof. Maria Chiara Vitucci and Prof. Giorgia Bevilacqua.
This lecture, titled “Cybertechnology and Outer Space Law: New Frontiers for Armed Conflicts“, will explore the intersections between cyberspace and outer space, focusing on the application of the principle of peaceful use from the perspective of international law.

Professor Claudia Cinelli will participate in a high-level panel examining maritime geopolitics. Among various analytical perspectives, this event provides an opportunity to explore critical parallels between maritime and space domains in international law. In particular, Professor Cinelli will focus on Polar Regions and will examine how and to what extent current Polar Regions governance can inform the development of space governance frameworks.

Professor Sara Poli (Department of Political Science) and Professor Simone Marinai (Department of Law), both members of the EUSPIL Teaching Staff, successfully organized the VI Annual Conference of the Italian Association of European Union Law Scholars (AISDUE) at the University of Pisa. Distinguished EU judges, lawyers, and scholars discussed pressing challenges related to the EU’s growing role as a global actor and its implications at both internal and external levels.
